For those of us who work at Kajkanten, getting to work is a rather scenic experience. A nice start to the day, and not infrequently the camera comes up and a few pictures are snapped for Instagram, or as now – for the blog.
Today the walk, and indeed the whole day, became more on the theme of “the pictures we didn’t take”. Halfway to the harbor a beautiful blackbird sat on top of a cluster of red berries and cocked its head as we approached. It was like he was wondering if we were going to pick up that camera and take the picture at some point? Carefully, so as not to startle the little birdie, we pulled the phone out of our pocket. Do you think there was a picture before the bird flapped away? Non. Therefore, below you see a brief representation of red berries, with NO blackbird.
Disappointed we started moving again and around the next bend another encounter with nature awaited as three fine deer stood and glared at us. However, these were spooked by our impressive pace and jumped into the bushes before the camera was even halfway up. That’s why you see a card of a forest clearing, with NO deer.
Otherwise, we would actually meet today to take pictures for next year’s lobster fishing package together with our fisherman Mattias. The weather has been so kind in November, and the wind has stayed away for a long time. However, that was not the case today! With a wind speed of 20 m/s, we had to put our tails between our legs and tell Mattias that we probably didn’t venture out to sea today, and if we did go out, he probably wouldn’t have much use for us. Mattias had a good laugh and said that there was probably no major danger, a little seasickness has never killed anyone, haha! But we land crabs still decided that we had a good time in our little hotel today instead, and then we also managed to have a coffee together! That’s why you also see below a picture of an ocean with NO boat on it, but also a picture of three happy fika-masters with no hint of seasickness!
