Have you ever found yourself on a small island on the west coast during the first few weeks of September? Then you know what a feverish activity is going on… Boats, lines, cages, woolen sweaters, sacks of food, bait (or “cube bait” as our dear friends the fishermen say) are being swept because lobster is to be fished here! On the first Monday after September 20, the starting shot goes and it is almost certain that not everyone will get out through the harbor entrance in the rush that occurs. Do you also want to take part in all this ritual, almost mythical? Then book autumn’s most wonderful experience!
Welcome to a salty experience in Gothenburg's southernmost archipelago! You get to join for lobster fishing and later it's lobster dinner at the cozy Hamnkrogen Lotsen. Vrångö's own fisherman picks you up by boat outside Kajkanten and takes you out to sea. Can be booked on Saturdays during the lobster season.
If you are visiting us as a conference or group, we can book a very special experience for you. Imagine being able to accompany a local fisherman out to sea and help bring home the sea's black gold. A team-building activity that is well suited for smaller groups and can be booked on any day throughout October.
If you don't want to try your luck at fishing but still want to enjoy the sea's gold on your plate, we welcome you to book a lobster evening at Hamnkrogen Lotsen. If you only want to book dinner, book directly with Lotsen (28/9, 5/10, 19/10 and 26/10)
Kajkanten's employees are really passionate about giving their guests a great experience. Started with a guided tour with Håkan who told us about Vrångö and its history. The pilots delivered wonderful seafood to the party on the relaxation raft. A unique experience!

The whole gang lived in Kajkanten's lake cabins, which are very cozy and have exactly what you need for a weekend in the archipelago. Håkan and other staff at Kajkanten are fantastic - nice, hospitable and helpful! They also helped us rent a venue where everyone could gather for celebrations. An absolutely fantastic cozy and nice accommodation in Gothenburg's southern archipelago. We are very satisfied and would love to come back. All comfort was in the small boathouse. Vrångö is so nice. Nice visit to Hamnkrogen Lotsen with super tasty seafood. Caring and friendly staff.
