Kajkanten is a small, friendly workplace on Vrångö, in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg. We are a small apartment hotel where everyone knows each other. We care about our guests, the environment and making sure that you enjoy working with us too.
We are looking for people who would like to work with us throughout the year. Some periods are busier than others, with more shifts available at certain times of the year. Working with us is easy to combine with other commitments, and we hope to find people who enjoy archipelago life, like meeting people and want to be part of a small team where everyone helps each other.
Are you thorough, independent and enjoy making sure everything is clean, tidy and welcoming?
We are looking for someone who can mainly help with cleaning our accommodation and relax raft. It is an important role for someone who likes keeping things in order and wants to help create a great experience for our guests!
Do you enjoy having lots of things going on and like meeting people?
We are looking for someone who can help us with both housekeeping and guest service. One moment you might be making up a bed in one of our boathouses, and the next you could be welcoming a guest, helping with a conference or answering a question on the phone.
Do you enjoy meeting people, sharing stories and showing visitors our part of the archipelago?
Or are you a confident kayaker who would enjoy taking others out on the sea?
We are looking for someone who would like to guide in both English and Swedish. This could involve telling guests about Vrångö, the nature and life here in the archipelago – but also taking both beginners and more experienced paddlers out on a kayak tour.
You don’t need to know everything. Maybe you’re a great storyteller with extensive local knowledge, or an experienced kayaker who feels confident leading groups on the sea. What matters is that you enjoy meeting people and sharing what you know.
