September on Vrångö

When summer lingers and autumn’s colours slowly begin to emerge.

September offers a gentle transition from summer to autumn. Often, summer lingers on, with sunshine that still warms and a sea that remains inviting for a swim. The air grows crisper, the days a little shorter, and the pace even calmer.

September is ideal for a kayaking adventure. Glide along the waterline, make landings in sheltered coves, and enjoy the stillness – it’s pure magic. A visit to the Sauna Raft is also a must in September – the wood-fired stove in the sauna provides comforting warmth before a refreshing dip in the sea.

September is also a perfect time for hiking. On Saturday, September 12, it’s National Hiking Day in Sweden, so keep an eye out for this autumn’s guided walks on Vrångö. Throughout September, hiking packages  are available for a two-day experience in the scenic nature reserve, through wooded groves and up to viewpoints where the horizon opens wide.

On the first Monday after September 20, the lobster fishing season begins. If you’d like to experience this tradition, come to Vrångö to be here for the opening day, or book our lobster fishing package and take part in hauling the lobster pots yourself.

September is made for a late-summer getaway.
