A breakfast basket will be delivered by Hamnkrogen Lotsen to your accommodation, and if you add a seafood box, shrimp sandwich, or other delicacies, you’re set for the ultimate archipelago getaway in your own boathouse. Take a stroll through the majestic nature, and perhaps treat yourself to a session on the relaxation raft with a wood-fired sauna and a sea swim. On select upcoming weekends, there’s also the chance to join various events and culinary experiences on Vrångö. How about:
Kajkanten does not have its own restaurant, but all year round you can order from this menu which is delivered to your boathouse. Hamnkrogen Lotsen is our neighbor on the pier. Read more about the menu:
With the archipelago boat from Saltholmen, you can easily get out into the ocean to the southernmost island in Gothenburg’s archipelago. You travel with a Västtrafik ticket all the way, and once you arrive on Vrångö, it’s just a 10-minute walk across the island to Kajkanten. Here, you’ll check into your boathouse apartment, located right by the water—so close to the sea, it’s as if you’re part of it.
On Vrångö, there are excellent trails that lead to lookout points, past beaches, and through wooded areas in the Vrångö Archipelago Nature Reserve. Autumn storms and vibrant views make this season truly special. Autumn is also seafood season. From Hamnkrogen Lotsen, the pier restaurant next to us, you can order a seafood platter, and everything will be delivered straight to your boathouse from the restaurant. Very close to Kajkanten’s hotel is the island’s grocery store where you can buy your own food if you prefer to cook something good in your boathouse apartment. All boathouses have their own kitchenette.
Experience autumn in the archipelago!
