Vrångö is known as Gothenburg’s swimming island. There are many swimming spots to chose from, and if you are brave enough to take a step outside the walking trails, you are most likely to find your very own beach or cliff.
NÖTHOLMEN on Vrångös south side is the largest shallow beach. Sand, grass and suitable for children.
KYRKOGÅRDSVIKEN you can reach by the North walking trail, a scenic beach with shadowing pines on the islands east side.
VÄTTNA on the islands east side is a child friendly lagoon with a sand beach and large grass areas with barbeque possibilities.
KOHALLA below the pilot lookout is something for those who like swimming from rocks. Here, you will find smooth rock outcrops, bathing ladders and jetties from which you can go swimming.
DJUPVIK är badplatsen för dig som gillar att bada året runt. Strand, badstege och även möjlighet att bada bastu. Kontakta Vrångö fritidsförening om du vill hyra bastun
THE SWIMMING PIER at the far end of the pier in Vrångö Harbour, with deep water and a view straight west, is best for those who know how to swim. Bath in summer time.
COLD WATER SWIMMING For cold water swimming in the winter, we recommend the steps on the sauna raft (if you have rented the raft) or a dip from Djupvik’s jetty. If you prefer the open sea in the west, you might venture out for a swim at Kohalla.

There is both a ladder and a beach here. Also suitable for cold water swimming in winter.
