Hotel Kajkanten opened its doors to its first guests in 2014 and has since made it possible for visitors to experience a multi-day stay on Vrångö, all year round. Håkan Karlsten, owner and operations manager of the facility, has family on the island dating back to the 16th century. In the family tree there are both fishermen and pilots, but today it is mainly the hospitality industry that provides new job opportunities. Håkan runs the apartment hotel together with his family in Vrångö. People live and work here as neighbors and colleagues in different generations. Kajkanten is located in the middle of the genuine archipelago settlement in Vrångö Harbour, and together with other entrepreneurs on Vrångö, Kajkanten is constantly taking new steps for an even more sustainable tourism industry in the archipelago.
Håkan Karlsten owns Kajkanten and runs the business together with his family. Håkan has both children and parents on the island and a family tree dating back to the 16th century. Today, the family's focus is on the hospitality industry and Håkan is really passionate about a sustainable and vibrant archipelago.
