We're Hiring: Weekend Help Wanted!

We're looking for someone who’d like to work extra on weekends.

Your main task will be to clean and prepare our beautiful boathouse apartments so they’re fresh and welcoming for arriving guests. From time to time, you’ll also be on call to assist guests when needed. You’ll help out with things like our floating sauna, kayak rentals, and other small tasks that come up.

Kajkanten is a small, friendly apartment hotel located in the southern part of the Gothenburg archipelago. We’re a tight-knit team where everyone knows each other, and we all share the same focus – giving our guests the best possible experience. You’ll mainly work weekends and occasionally on weekdays, with the possibility of a summer job between May and August 2026.

Who are you?

We’re looking for someone who’s quick, cheerful, and helpful – someone with the right energy and attitude. Ideally, you live on Vrångö. Experience in a similar role is great, but not a must – the most important thing is your willingness to learn and contribute.

A bit more about us

Kajkanten has eleven waterfront boathouse apartments, available for short- or long-term stays. We also host small conferences, guided tours, and rent out kayaks and our floating sauna. Most of our guests come from Sweden, but we also welcome international travelers. Kajkanten is highly rated on Tripadvisor, thanks to our focus on personal service and guest satisfaction.

We’re also committed to sustainable tourism and caring for the beautiful nature that surrounds us. We’re proud to be Green Key certified, and everyone on the team takes part in helping us improve our environmental efforts even more.

Getting to Vrångö

Travel time from Gothenburg city to the islands is relatively long, so we’re primarily looking for someone who lives on Vrångö. If you live on Styrsö or Donsö, it might also work.
