Look for checkpoints on Vrångö with the HITTA UT app. On Vrångö, some of the archipelago’s 59 checkpoints are located and the map you need along the way can be picked up from Kajkanten. Hittaut is a fun way to discover the nature reserve of the Vrångö archipelago and get moving at the same time. The activity is suitable for all ages and you can run as well as walk. Hitta Ut is free and everyone can participate.
This is how you do
Download the Hitta Ut app (search Gothenburg) where you can both orient and register your checkpoint visits. You take the map or the app with you on the walk. At each checkpoint there is a letter code that you can register on your account, with a chance to win great prizes.
Everyone can participate
Some checkpoints are easy (green) and can be reached even for disabled, if you go with a pram or choose to ride a bike. The reds, blues and blacks become progressively more challenging. None are impossible to find and this activity will definitely make you discover new places!
Since 2008, Hitta Ut has attracted thousands of participants to get out into nature and look for checkpoints. The project in Gothenburg and the archipelago is a collaboration between Göteborg&Co, Gothenburg’s orienteering club Majorna and various private companies.
