Together, we are better

Together we work for a sustainable destination

Kajkanten is a smaller hotel complex and, like all companies in the archipelago, we are extremely dependent on each other and keen to cooperate. We are also part of larger cooperative organizations in order to be able to offer a more sustainable visitor destination. This way of working permeates our entire business. Together we make it better!

Svenska Turistföreningen

We are proud members of Svenska Turistföreningen (Swedish Tourist Association) and want to work for more sustainable tourism. When we welcome guests to Kajkanten, we simultaneously offer a unique nature experience and the opportunity for outdoor life.

West Sweden Tourist Board

We are part of Western Sweden and information about us and Vrångö is disseminated through the Tourist Board's channels. We also continuously participate in the Tourist Board's training courses in areas such as destination development, digitization and sustainability.

Gothenburg & Co

Gothenburg's archipelago is part of the City of Gothenburg and via Gothenburg & Co's channels and activities we have the privilege of making Vrångö and Kajkanten visible. We also participate in training courses and projects organized by Gothenburg & Co in order for us to become an even more sustainable and well-developed destination.

Plogga

Plogga is a popular movement that is growing all over the world, a concept that involves picking up trash while jogging. Basically, "plogga" is a collective name where the intention is to change the approach and "get everyone to be proud litter pickers". We are a plogga certified company

Green Key

Kajkanten is eco-labelled with Green Key. Here, we work actively with environmental and sustainability issues, including by following Green Key's extensive criteria. Through this, you as a guest also contribute to taking responsibility for the environment without compromising your experience with us.

The west coast foundation

The beach cleaning along the west coast is coordinated by the West Coast Foundation, Västkuststiftelsen, and is carried out by municipal staff, contracted contractors, a number of non-profit organizations and, not least, volunteers. We are very grateful for the West coast foundation's commitment to Vrångö.

Karolina Martinson

Karolina has an intense interest in creating a Swedish food culture where seaweed has an obvious place on our plates. She calls herself a seaweed diver, sustainability inspirer and ambassador for the new sustainable Blue industries of the future. We are very grateful for our collaboration with Karolina.

Västerhavsveckan

During Västerhavsveckan there is an opportunity to try out kayaking at half price with us, one of several seaside activities along the west coast. Through Västerhavsveckan, we want to join in and draw attention to our marine environment and the challenges the Westersea is facing.

Hamnkrogen Lotsen

Thanks to our neighboring restaurant Hamnkrogen Lotsen, we have the opportunity to order seafood, dinners and breakfast baskets every day, all year round for our guests. A valuable collaboration that is one of the cornerstones of our business.

Restaurant Ternan

It is a great advantage for Kajkanten to be able to book meals for parties and conferences in Ternan's beautiful premises, right where the ferry docks. The fact that there are restaurants on Vrångö is a prerequisite for Kajkanten's business.
