Together, we make it better

Together we work for a sustainable destination

Kajkanten is a smaller hotel complex and, like all companies in the archipelago, we are extremely dependent on each other and keen to cooperate. We are also part of larger cooperative organizations in order to be able to offer a more sustainable visitor destination. This way of working permeates our entire business. Together we make it better!

Swedish Tourist Association

We are proud members of the Swedish Tourist Association and strive for more sustainable tourism. When we welcome guests to Kajkanten, we also offer a unique nature experience and the opportunity for outdoor activities.

West Sweden's Tourist Board

We are part of West Sweden, and through the Tourist Board's channels, information about us and Vrångö is shared. We also continuously participate in the Tourist Board's training programs in areas such as destination development, digitalization, and sustainability.

Göteborg & Co

The Gothenburg archipelago is part of the City of Gothenburg, and through Göteborg & Co's channels and activities, we have the opportunity to showcase Vrångö and Kajkanten. We also participate in training programs and projects organized by Göteborg & Co to further develop as a sustainable and well-established destination.

Plogga

Plogging is a growing global movement—a concept that combines picking up litter with jogging. At its core, plogging is a collective term with the intention of changing mindsets and "turning everyone into proud litter pickers." We are a Plogga-certified company.

Green Key

Kajkanten is a hotel certified with the Green Key eco-label. We actively work with environmental and sustainability efforts by following Green Key’s extensive criteria. This means that as our guest, you also contribute to environmental responsibility—without compromising your experience with us

The West Coast Foundation

The beach cleaning along the West Coast is coordinated by the West Coast Foundation and carried out by municipal staff, contracted entrepreneurs, various non-profit organizations, and, most importantly, volunteers. We are very grateful for the West Coast Foundation’s commitment to Vrångö.

Karolina Martinson

Karolina has a passionate interest in creating a Swedish food culture where seaweed has a natural place on our plates. She calls herself a seaweed diver, sustainability inspirer, and ambassador for the new sustainable Blue Economy of the future. We are very grateful for our collaboration with Karolina.

West Coast Sea Week

During The west Coast Sea Week, you have the opportunity to try kayaking at half price with us—one of several ocean-related activities along the west coast. Through The West Coast Sea Week, we want to help raise awareness about our marine environment and the challenges the North Sea is facing.

Hamnkrogen Lotsen

Thanks to our neighboring restaurant, Hamnkrogen Lotsen, we can offer our guests seafood, dinners, and breakfast baskets every day, all year round. This valuable partnership is one of the cornerstones of our business.

Restaurant Ternan

It is a great privilege for Kajkanten to be able to book meals for celebrations and conferences in Ternan’s beautiful venue by the ferry dock. The presence of restaurants on Vrångö is essential for Kajkanten’s operations.
