The quiet days and colorful views of autumn make this season truly special. On Vrångö, there are excellent trails leading to lookout points, past beaches, and through forested areas within the Vrångö archipelago nature reserve. A sauna bath followed by a dip in the fresh sea is an amazing experience, especially at this time of year when the water cools down. You will receive a notification about the time when the relax raft will be open for you and Kajkanten’s guests.
Autumn is also seafood season, and in October, you can watch the lobster fishermen glide by in their boats while enjoying salty, freshly caught shellfish for dinner.
From Saltholmen, the archipelago ferry takes you easily out to the outer archipelago to the southernmost island in the Gothenburg archipelago. You can travel on Västtrafik’s ticket the entire way. Once you arrive at Vrångö, it’s just a 10-minute walk across the island to Kajkanten in Vrångö Harbour. Here, you check in to your seaside boathouse apartment, located as close to the water as possible, where you can enjoy the ever-changing sea views right outside your door. Seafood and other delicacies can be pre-ordered from this menu, and we ensure everything is delivered to your boathouse from the restaurant. Just nearby Kajkanten’s hotel is the island’s grocery store, where you can buy your own food if you prefer to cook something delicious in your boathouse apartment. All boathouses have their own kitchenette.
