Beach cleaning on Vrångö

Plogging Day on Vrångö! We’re at it again, and you’re warmly invited to join us!
Join the trash-picking wave spreading across the world! We’re cleaning up Vrångö’s shores from bottle caps, plastic bags, ropes, and other debris that have washed ashore. Come and make a difference! On-site, we’ll have the Strandstädarbåten from the City of Gothenburg and beach cleaning pros from Västkuststiftelsen.

10:00 Meeting at Kajkanten
Presentation of the day – On-site, you’ll find Västkuststiftelsen, along with several companies and organizations supporting and participating in this event.
Västkuststiftelsen and the City of Gothenburg will provide bags, litter pickers, and gloves, while the beach cleaning experts from Västkuststiftelsen will offer tips on where and how to find litter using the Beach Cleaning Map. If you have your own tools and gloves, feel free to bring them along.
Beach cleaning in smaller groups at different locations on Vrångö (we will guide the way).

Västkuststiftelsen
The West Coast Foundation coordinates beach clean-ups along the entire west coast, from Kungsbacka in the south to Strömstad in the north. To help everyone, the foundation provides the Beach Cleaner Map. The West Coast Foundation will participate in Plogging Day on May 9.
Plogging
Plogga is a growing organization where you pick up litter while jogging. With the help of ambassadors, Plogga has developed into a fun and educational platform that engages countless people in a global wave of litter collecting. Kajkanten is a Plogga-certified business.

Kajkanten's employees are really passionate about giving their guests a great experience. Started with a guided tour with Håkan who told us about Vrångö and its history. The pilots delivered wonderful seafood to the party on the relaxation raft. A unique experience!

Första gången vi besökte Vrångö blev vi så förälskade att vi bestämde oss för att ta med närmsta släkt och vänner och gifta oss där. Vilket vi gjorde nu i augusti. The whole gang lived in Kajkanten's lake cabins, which are very cozy and have exactly what you need for a weekend in the archipelago. Håkan and other staff at Kajkanten are fantastic - nice, hospitable and helpful! They also helped us rent a venue where everyone could gather for celebrations. Fantastic weekend in the archipelago!
An absolutely fantastic cozy and nice accommodation in Gothenburg's southern archipelago. We are very satisfied and would love to come back. All comfort was in the small boathouse. Vrångö is so nice. Nice visit to Hamnkrogen Lotsen with super tasty seafood. Caring and friendly staff.
