Take the ferry to Vrångö

Ferry service from Saltholmen to Vrångö all year round

Vrångö is a car-free island in Gothenburg’s southern archipelago. You can get to Saltholmen by tram 11 or bus 114. Tram and bus go from central Gothenburg to the ferry stop at Saltholmen, where you change to ferry. The ferries leave almost every hour and the boat trip to Vrångö takes about 30 minutes. The ticket for public transport is also valid for the ferry. Plan your journey using Västtrafik’s To Go app, the journey planner. If you come by car, there is long-term parking at Långedrag, a 15-minute walk from the ferry stop. A tip is to unload luggage and passengers at the ferry terminal and then return to the car park and take a walk back or jump on tram line 11 the last bit.

When you get off the ferry at Vrångö, it’s a 15-minute walk across the island to Kajkanten’s hotel and ha sauna raft. The hotel is located in the fishing harbor on the other side of the island.
