There is something truly special about September in the archipelago. After the lively summer, a calm stillness settles over Vr\u00e5ng\u00f6 \u2013 yet beneath the surface, it still bubbles with excitement and anticipation. The air grows crisp, sunsets turn more dramatic than ever, and honestly, can we ever get enough of the magical glow of bioluminescence? We don\u2019t think so!<\/p>

Autumn Cozy (H\u00d6STMYS)<\/strong>
Many of our guests choose to book our AUTUMN RETREAT<\/a> package, where the days are filled with hiking, time on the sauna raft, and quality time in and around our seaside boathouses. September often brings sunny days, but with fresher air that makes it even cozier to curl up in an armchair with a blanket and something warm in your cup when evening falls.<\/p>

Lobster Season<\/strong>
At the end of September, the long-awaited lobster season<\/a> kicks off \u2013 a major highlight in the archipelago! The sea fills with fishing boats, and along the piers people excitedly discuss their catches and lucky traps. For many, it\u2019s a beloved tradition that marks the true start of autumn, and you can\u2019t help but notice a hint of competitiveness in the air \u2013 even among friends…<\/p>

Hiking Day<\/strong>
September also brings Hiking Day<\/a> \u2013 the perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful trails of Vr\u00e5ng\u00f6 and the surrounding archipelago. Here you\u2019ll find heather-covered heathlands, smooth sea-polished cliffs, and woodlands where autumn colors start to glow. The hikes are easy to access, yet they still offer a sense of adventure \u2013 with the sea always present at your side.<\/p>

This year, in collaboration with STF<\/a>, Algblomman<\/a>, and Glittsk\u00e4r<\/a>, you can book one of two guided hikes on Hiking Day: a seaweed walk along the shoreline with Karolina, or a trip to the beautiful lighthouse site at Tistlarna with Mattias.<\/p>

The Beautiful Light<\/strong>
And perhaps most magical of all \u2013 the September light. Sunsets deepen in color, the sea shifts between steel gray and turquoise, and every walk across the cliffs becomes its own little nature experience.<\/p>
