Welcome to celebrate Midsummer on Vr\u00e5ng\u00f6! If you book a Midsummer stay with us, you\u2019ll arrive on Thursday, June 18th\u2014 the day before Midsummer\u2019s Eve\u2014 and stay until Sunday, June 21nd. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the festive celebrations while also soaking up the early summer days with swimming and hiking in the stunning landscape. The harbor restaurants, Lotsen and Ternan, will be open, so take a stroll around the island and embrace the laid-back summer vibe.
On Midsummer\u2019s Eve, the festivities take place just outside Kajkanten, with dancing, lotteries, coffee sales, and live music\u2014 all arranged by Vr\u00e5ng\u00f6 Fritidsf\u00f6rening<\/a>\u00a0and the local community. The guest harbor usually fills up days in advance, and on the big day, flags and bunting can be seen everywhere.

The Midsummer weekend is a popular time to travel to Vr\u00e5ng\u00f6, as many people take the archipelago ferries to join the celebrations. If you\u2019ve booked your Midsummer stay with us, you\u2019ll arrive already on Thursday evening, when it\u2019s still calm and peaceful.
To get to Vr\u00e5ng\u00f6, take tram 11 or bus 114 to Saltholmen, located just outside central Gothenburg. Both the tram and bus run regularly from the city center to the ferry terminal at Saltholmen, where you transfer to a ferry. <\/p>\n

Ferries depart almost every hour, and the boat ride to Vr\u00e5ng\u00f6 takes about 30 minutes. Your public transport ticket is also valid for the archipelago boat. To plan your trip, you can use the V\u00e4sttrafik To Go app or journey planner.<\/a> <\/p>\n

If you prefer to arrive by car, there is long-term parking <\/a>available at L\u00e5ngedrag, about a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
Smart tip: Unload your luggage and passengers at the terminal first, then drive back to park.
